Picking at the crumbs with Batemans Bay Providore.

Our crusty world is made up of more than those who walk through our bakery doors.

It’s a wide community and network, extending up and down the South Coast with the help of our stockists — they’re our trusted wholesale partners who bring the bread closer to you.

So we thought we’d spotlight their goodness more frequently: introducing Best Bread Buds. (Because that’s what we are 🫶)

To kick off our series, we picked at the crumbs with the team at Batemans Bay Providore — one of the best places to get your sourdough bread in Batemans Bay. They’ve been stocking our loaves for years, authentically carving out a community of locals who love good food with a ‘fresh is best’ philosophy.

Here we go.

Your names <3

Jess, Ness + Em

Tell us about your biz in 10 words.

Freshness and foods that are good for you and your soul.

And what’s the best thing about your biz?

The best thing? Easy, looking after our customers. We have such a great community that every day you get to see friends, and you get to be part of their lives.

Your favourite item currently on the shelves?

Probably the Pebbly Path Turkish Delight Rocky Road… apart from our Lagom breads, of course.

Which is your favourite sourdough? And how do you eat it?

The Fruit Loaf, toasted and dripping with butter, for sure!

What’s your top leftover sourdough tip?

Jess makes the best herbed croutons.

If you were one of our pastries or loaves, which would you be?

The Organic Spelt Loaf, because it is a little special and has a great big heart ❤️

What’s your favourite local spot?

Going for a walk along the foreshore of Batemans Bay, watching the boats and pelicans. We live in the most amazing place.

Make us blush, do you have any sweet words for us?

Lagom bread has people bursting through our doors before we are really open, just to get their sourdough and rush home for their perfect breakfast. Lagom bakers create a little bit of magic every day that keeps people coming back again and again.
