Hot Cross Bun Season

They’re in the shop daily + available to pre-order.

We count down the days until Easter — mainly to calculate how many Hot Cross Buns we can consume before the season is over.

You too?

Luckily, our fluffy, delicious buns are now available in the shop daily (and on pre-order) until the end of the Easter long weekend.

  • Choose from Traditional Fruit Hot Cross Buns or Chocolate Hot Cross Buns, as singles or 6-packs (with a half-half option to keep the whole family happy).

  • Add Pepe Saya butter (mini or large rounds) for the most delectable snack.

How to Eat Your Hot Cross Bun

All this doughy love got us thinking: how do you eat your HCB (Hot Cross Bun)?

Sure, we love slapping it with a thick layer of butter, then munching it sandwiched together or as a single side. But what about the less traditional, more daring ways?

We dabbled in a little research and came up with these genius/brave ideas:

  1. Bread + butter pudding (but make it Easter-friendly).

  2. Stuffed with crispy bacon — a sweet and savoury crunch.

  3. Fruity French toast.

  4. Mini toastie bite — spread with chutney and layered with cheese, then pressed to perfection.

  5. Or just a slab of crumbly cheddar cheese to nibble in the middle.

(If you give any of these a try, please let us know! Be part of our R&D team ;) )
