This Friday, 8th August, is CafeSmart Day. And we’re stoked to be one of over 800 participating cafes across Australia.
Join us as we band together to help fight homelessness – simply swing in for your usual coffee, and we’ll donate $1 from each cup served. Keep reading for all the details.
What CafeSmart is all about
The 4th-10th of August is Homelessness Week. CafeSmart launches off this, established to prompt conversation and assist the grassroots movements that support those who are doing it tough in our community. The priorities: delivering medical care, offering a safe place to sleep, providing clothing, hot meals and additional support.
Through our work with Safe Waters Community Care, we know our responsibility to care for this beautiful part of the South Coast and all those in our community. (And we’re planning some more exciting events to directly support.)
Adding our name to the CafeSmart list means we can raise awareness on a greater scale; we’re contributing to the big picture stuff alongside other hospitality partners.
How can I support CafeSmart?
Head into Lagom Bakery this Friday, 8th August, to grab your daily coffee. We will donate $1 from every brew to CafeSmart – and we’re hoping to make a big splash this year.
If you’ve got something to give, our donation jar is sitting pretty in the shop all week long. Pop in your spare change or the price of your coffee (every bit goes a long way); scan the QR code in the shop to make a digital donation.
So bring your mates and gather by the lake. Every coffee counts – sip knowing it’s making a difference this Friday.
